1894: The New Wilbur Boro Hall
The building is still there, the home of a station of the Trenton Fire Department. Back in the early years of Wilbur, the building also hosted a jail. As an interesting aside, E.G. Cook of the Cook family held extensive plots of land in the area. Many years ago, on the corner of Greenwood and Olden Avenues, the Cook family built the Cook YMCA. As a young boy in the early 40's I remember going into the building after it was destined for destruction. I can still remember seeing the huge, drained swimming pool. North and South Cook Avenue is named for the Cook family.
