1921: Trenton Police Officer Jacob Thiel

Small world! I find that my late Uncle Charles Gaudette, who was the Superintendent of the Trenton War Memorial Building, was related to the Thiel family through Ms. Phoebe Thiel. Jacob Thiel was often in the news of Trenton's yesteryear as a prominent officer of the city of Trenton. The Thiel family also had an interest in Trenton's well-known plumbing outfitters, Lincoln Supply Company.

Howdy: Yep Phoebe Thiel was my father's twin sister. She married Jake and they lived on Sanhican Drive in west Trenton. Jake was also one of the first to install "radios" in police cars. He also was noted as a good horseman as he was part of the original Horse Patrol in Trenton. Neet guy who smoked a great deal and finally died of ephesima (bad spelling) but you know it as a smoker's lung disease. Nice to hear from you:
