1913 Opium Lab in a Chinese Laundry

I and my contemporaries must have lived a very sheltered life. It wasn't until I saw the movie, "The Man With The Golden Arm" that I learned that there was such a thing as drugs. For most of us, "Drugs" were sold in a drugstore, and were generally not abused. The above 1913 photo of an opium lab on North Clinton Avenue in Trenton just goes to show you that the drug problem was a concern back in grandma and grandpa's day.
