I am looking for information about Captain Charles Brightly, who was also an enlistment officer and who came to Camp Olden after graduating West Point. He was killed in the Battle of the Wilderness. His then wife had met my ancestor, William Franklin Beck of Yardville during this stay here. She came back to Hamilton and married him after Cpt. Brightly's death. They lived for many years on Hogback Road in Yardville, near William's father's house, the Beck homestead, still standing.
Also, I spent 14 years in this area of the township. It is good to have it recognized. Finally, My g-g grandfather enlisted in Company A, serving 4 years.
