Tom: As previously noted several times prior, I was born on Fall St, just off the 500 block of So.Warren, an in the mid 40's after my brother was killed by a drunk driver, 3 weeks after coming home from 3 years in the Navy, we moved to the 500 block of So.Warren. This block is so familiar to me. The white building on the south side of the Assumpink Creek is Sharpless Ice Cream, right across the street, is the George Earle Bike shop from which I bought my first "Columbia" bike. Where The gas station sign of the fling horse",was another one of those diners you see in some of your posts; like the opening on this page. it was called "Happy's diner" Factory St. spilled into the confluence of Warren, Lamberton, and Assumpink way.
