QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS:
Tom:I think You got turned around. It is of "State & Warren" looking west! Warren was the dividing point between east and west state. As State was the same for Broad St. North and South.Always appreciate great shots like this.Mike Kuzma
Hi Tom: Whatever way you slice it, it's a great photo. I don't know how you do what you do -- but keep it up. This is one of my favorite spots in downtown. I took West State St. to go home. I look forward to seeing what great gems you have for me each morning. Thanks again.
HI TOM...I SEE THE WESTERN UNION, OUR COUSIN WAS THE MANAGER FOR AWHILE. ALSO, THE DRUG STORE WHERE I STOPPED EACH MORNING ON MY WAY TO MY ROUTE STARTING AT WILLOW. THIS WAS IN THE EARLY 50'S AND I HAD THAT BLOCK OF W. STATE TO CALHOUN. PROBABLY, THE HEAVIEST MAIL ROUTE IN THE CITY. REGARDS.
I MIGHT ADD, THE STACY TRENT HOTEL HAD TH MOST ATTRACTIVE STAIRWAY LEADING INTO THE LOWER FLOORS. THEY WERE ALL MARBLE AND THE OUTGOING MAIL BOX WAS LOCATED THERE. I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO WALKING DOWN THOSE STEPS. REGARDS.
