1835: TRENTON, 1835

From the incredible "TRENTONIANA" collection at the Trenton Free Public Library, this beautiful 1835 map of Trenton. Prominently seen in the map is "Mill Hill" and portions of the southern section, as well as the center of town. The Trentoniana collection rivals the most comprehensive local history collection extant. It is very regrettable that our Hamilton Township forefathers never placed much value on preserving the past, waiting until the late 20th century to begin logging and documenting local history. Hopefully, the day will arrive when the Trenton Library begins to digitally share some of their holdings on the Internet so that some of this incredible collection can be shared with visitors from around the world. Ms. Wendy Nardi, a knowledgeable local Trenton historian, is the person you would see as you visit that gold mine of local history.
