I must admit that the Trent Motor Co. is not one of the many local Trenton automobile dealers with which I am familiar. The above ad was a very droll black and white, so I added a bit of color to a very interesting ad in the local newspaper during "Fair Week," 1931. Most of us are familiar with the "Selden Patent" which is generally recognized as the earliest example of a practical horseless carriage, or as we call it today, the automobile. Cugnot's steam carriage was truly the very first example of a self propelled vehicle, but much too cumbersome to be included in the automobile category,.Trent Motor Co. was located in Broad Street Park on the corner of Rowan Street. If memory serves me, the building is currently a floor covering business. One wonders if Trent Motor Company ultimately morphed into Hamilton's Hudler Ford on South Broad Street in Trenton. I will check further on the Trent Motor Co. and post any findings
