My first real exposure to the fabulous Trenton area restaurants in Chambersburg took place way back in the early 1950's when Judy and I along with Miss Louise Baird had dinner at "Marsilio's Kitchen." What a delightful dinner! Even though we thoroughly enjoyed their incredible cuisine, our real favorite was a mile or so into Hamilton at the "Heidelberg" on Hamilton Avenue.

Trionfetti's not on this list - late 40s, early 50s?? Also, there was a walk-up place, tiny sign and no menu - eat what we serve! Can't think of the name . . .
Anybody remember such a place?
It was the mid 80's when I was fortunate to have the cash to enjoy 'food as an entertainment experience' and boy o' boy did Chambersburg deliver! You jogged back into place wonderful nights at Chianti's, celebrations at Diamond's ....and what was that place that had the incredible paella??
a much later time period than family gathers at Lavender Hall or Landwher's, but history, nonetheless. Thanks for the smiles!
