This fascinating and historic neighborhood is once again inviting the public to the annual Hiltonia House Tours where vestiges of the Trenton that was, and still can be will be presented to those area residents who love the flavor of a vital and historic community which managed to escape the proliferation of neighborhood deterioration. Residents of Hiltonia, like beautiful Mill Hill, exhibit pride in their neighborhoods.

Samuel Hilton's "Hiltonia" has turned out to be one of the more beautiful neighborhoods in the western section of the city. Adjoining Cadwalader Park, the are is a splendid mix of beautifully landscaped properties with homes that were constructed when quality and beauty were hallmarks of the building trades. Hi Tom: Wish I could take the House Tour. I used to walk Hiltonia that was only a short distance from my house off Parkside. The homes were lovely and always a great destination when I was out and about on weekends. Thanks for keeping me up to speeed on all the goings on in my old neighborhood.

1930: REAL ESTATE IN TRENTON'S HILTONIA SECTION

Live and Learn! I never knew that the Hiltonia section of Trenton was named for Realtor Samuel Hilton. I wonder if you knew that interesting bit of Trentoniana.

1935: WEST END TIMES NEWSBOYS

There are quite a number of visitors to my website from the "West End" section of Trenton: Cadwalader Place, Glen Afton, Hiltonia, etc. Here's a nice clear Times photo. Perhaps a visitor will recognize a relative. These boys would now be in their 80's.
