I can't imagine the area of the Prospect Street Presbyterian Church, the old Single Women's Home, Prospect Street, Calhoun Street and other area sites as originally being on the site of the apparently huge Moses Plantation. I understand the Moses land extended from the canal all the way to Pennington Avenue. The above 1930 plat map of the area referenced in the article is melded in with the very faded photo of the Kucker homestead along with the interesting Harry Podmore caption.
