HI TOM....1936 WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR. I WAS PICKED TO PLAY FOR THE AMERICAN LEGION SCHROTHS THAT YEAR AND STARTED TO PLAY IN THE MANY CITY LEAGUES. I WAS DOING GREAT IN SPORTS BUT STILL LOOKING FOR A STEADY JOB. THAT BLOCK OF E.STATE ST. WAS THE BEGINNING OF DOWN TOWN WITH PUBLIC SERVICE, SHOPS AND OF COURSE THE STATE THEATRE WHERE WE GOT IN ON THE 3RD FLOOR FOR10 CENTS. THEY HAD VAUDEVILLE FEATURING LEWISMACK AND A COMPLETE MOVIE PROGRAM. THINGS STARTED TO PICK UP AND LOOK GOOD AGAIN. BEST REGARDS.
