Many years ago, Miss Alice Wilhelm called me and wanted to know if I was interested in her collection of Hamilton High School memorabilia. WAS I EVER! Alice was one of the original teachers at Hamilton High from its opening in 1930 right up to the 1960's when she retired. The collection is a treasure trove of the history of the best high school that ever was, bar none.
(Of course, that latter statement is my opinion, and mine alone!)
Those early HHS yearbooks are quaint and quite archaic. The images are only around 1 x 2 inches in size, but they lend themselves quite will to enlarging and enhancing. Here's an enhanced and enlarged extract of Albert Dwier, which will be preserved in the "NOTABLE PERSONS" AND "GROVEVILLE" folders. In future posts, I will be adding some of the more notable citizens from Hamilton who attended the best high l school extant, bar none.
