The 1875 map of Hamilton doesn't show a Hunt's land holder. However, there is a Hunt Avenue off of Central Avenue in Forest Valley and it is safe to assume that the avenue was named for the general area of the woods. It is speculation on my part, but I would assume it was in close proximity to the Pitman farm and the area along Clover Avenue behind the cemeteries.

1895: HUNT'S WOODS- FOREST VALLEY
The 1875 map of Hamilton doesn't show a Hunt's land holder. However, there is a Hunt Avenue off of Central Avenue in Forest Valley and it is safe to assume that the avenue was named for the general area of the woods.
