1979: Remembering those long gas lines

You would have to have a substantial amount of silver in your hair to remember the gas shortage of the 1970's. We had a wonderful time waiting in those long lines for the privilege to spend money at the pump.

No silver in my hair, although less of it than in the past, but I do recall the gas lines of the 1970's. I was just a kid of 7 years old, but I recall sitting the back seat of the car waiting for my parents to buy gas. I certainly hope we will not have to go through those days again.

oh I remember- and I would have lots of "silver" if my hair wasn't chemically dependant! LOL
I had just gotten my driver's license too! What a bummer, waiting for an old or even day to fill your tank. But at the cost of only 63 cents a gallon, I would do it again!! ;)
