Tom, as a kid I thought all radio had static! The first rig I remember was Dad's NC-200 & Viking II. I still have his Hamerlund HQ-180, and his last 2 rigs Kenwood 830 & Yaseu FT 102, in the attic. I beleive Dad had Bill eade buy his first receiver for him from Les Allens shop. I have the sales slip to prove it! Thanks for keeping the memory of those special friends of dad's I grew up with. 73's W2QJO Jr.
