1916 AND 1927
I am currently digitizing many vintage articles and photos relating to "Hamilton's Finest," better known as "the men in blue." Hamilton Township was a sprawling community back in the latter part of the 19th and into the 20th century. Our early law officers were known as "Constables." Frawley and Ceaser, were two that come to mind. The article on the left details the annual report of then Chief Henry Ceaser. who reported a total of just over 1,000 reports ranging from criminal offenses to dog violations. What a difference a century makes! On the right is the hand written document that comprises the forming of a real, genuine Hamilton Township Police force. My "POLICE-HAMILTON" digital database is constantly being added to and has already become a valued resource for present, and as time goes by for future generations.
