1930's: "WILLOW NEAR SPRING STREET"

It is a near impossibility to pinpoint the location of this long gone edifice that was once located on North Willow Street in the area of Spring and Bank Streets. The area has really been changed as the city engaged in many neighborhood "improvements."

  1. Way before my time, but my best bet is that you are looking at Chancey St. which turns to the left after you cross N. Willow, the cross street just in front of the big snow pile.

The Delaware and Raritan canal looks like it's to the left of the field of view. The old structure may have been an old canal house or inn.

I like cop on the beat wearing his winter garb.

See the rail semaphor in the background? Did it lead to the old Reading Terminal?
