Etta Lou (McNeil) Gomez
HAMILTON — Etta Lou Pearl Gomez, 71, of Hamilton, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Care One of Hamilton in Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, Ms. Gomez was a lifelong resident of Hamilton. Etta was a graduate of Hamilton High West, class of 1956. She was employed by Johnson University Hospital where she retired in 2007.
She was a member of St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church.
Etta was preceded in death by her father, William Morris McNeil Sr, her mother, Rebecca Willis-McNeil, three brothers, Thomas C. McNeil, William Morris McNeil Jr. and Albert McNeil, a sister, Carolyn Ann Johnson and one grandson, Steven C. Gomez.
Left to cherish her precious memory, two sons, Carlos Manuel Gomez and Craig Steven Gomez; one sister, Barbara Brown (Harold); a brother, Joseph McNeil (Yoshi Johnson); four grandchildren, Manuel C. Gomez, Carlos M. Gomez, Craig S. “Buddy” Gomez Jr. and Takisha M. Gomez; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton. Interment is in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 9am until the time of service at the funeral home.
