1928: WILBUR SECTION IS GROWING

THE ABOVE ARTICLE IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF HOW THE TRENTON NEWSPAPERS OF THE 19TH CENTURY TOOK LIBERTIES WITH THEIR REPORTING ON GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS. NOTE HOW DE LAVAL, ACME RUBBER AND OTHER HAMILTON TOWNSHIP FACTORIES HAVE BEEN REPORTED AS BEING IN THE WILBUR SECTION OF TRENTON, WHEN IN REALITY THEY ARE IN HAMILTON'S BROMLEY. THE MERCER AUTOMOBILE COMPANY IS ALWAYS PLACED IN TRENTON INSTEAD OF HAMILTON.
