Here's a 1914 article dealing with the "old swimming hole" and
playground at Sanhican Creek. This is from my "WEST END" folder in the Hamilton Township Public Library Local History Collection.
That area of the city was absolutely fabulous. And it was all free. It was a peoples canal and a peoples park and a city dedicated to uplifting the lives and spirits of the public. Clean air, clean water and beautiful recreation/water facilities. Trenton was a city of canals, streams, the river and waterways. So much has been lost..
