I never attended this theater but remember seeing the listing in the daily edition of the local press. This is an extracted segment from a high definition photo of North Broad street looking north,
Tom: Lets just say the "Garden" was not a movie house you took your teenage girlfriend to on a Saturday night date. Now Monday's when the gave away free dishware was another story! LOL Went there once and even I was embarassed.
My grandmother immigrated to Trenton from England in 1910 at age 14. I recall her pointing out this theater as being the “tin dump.” It apparently had a metal roof that made a great deal of noise when it was raining. It also had a balcony for African Amrericans.
