    Way up at the top right, William Warren Barbour, a Republican from Monmouth Beach, failed to win his re-election effort in 1936.

    He recognized the plight of the European Jews, and worked to allow immigration of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust.

    There were two Donnelly stores, one was R.A. and the other was .. I forget.

    Ed. It was Frederick W. or FW Donnelly. he was a former Mayor of Trenton.

    Tom - F.W. Donnelly eventually moved to Lawrence on Route 1 and Texas Ave. in the same building with Hamilton Jewelers. I worked at Donnelly's while in college at Trenton State at Christmas time and for their sales in the summer. Some great memories of downtown Trenton in 1960 - 1964.
