Top is the original photo from the R.C. Maxwell/Duke University Library Collection. In order to give the viewer a more precise and intimate view of the intersection, I have "PhotoShopped" and put the closeup view under the original. I see the fabled news stand over by that Studebaker where I purchased many many magazines over the years. Note the hustle and bustle of a lively and vibrant center city.
