Another exquisite closeup of this Chambersburg intersection as it looked 73 years ago. I will leave it to my auto expert Ray Paskiewicz to identify the autos in the photo. Don't you love that Chevy panel truck, Ray? What year is it?
Hi Tom, Another very sharp photo and some wonderful automobiles, as usual. The Chevrolet Panel truck, which appears to belong to George Schwartz Interiors, is a 1935 model. The car at the curb, behind the truck, is a 1933 Chrysler. A brand new 1939 De Soto is heading North on Broad. Heading South, is a 1936 Ford flatback two door sedan, and in front, a 1936 Oldsmobile. Visible in this photo, is the Trenton 2nd Precinct Police Station and the RKO Broad theater. 1939, a great year for me, for I entered this world on October 14th. rayfromvillapark
Tom, if only I held up as good as these 73 yr old pictures, from 1939...a good year for me. :)
