1921: A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

This incredibly detailed photo from the Maxwell collection gives one the impression that he or she is standing in front of Wittman's Jewelry store and window shopping along that famous Trenton stretch of West State Street.

  1. Absolutely facinating. It has now become a habit for me to check this site several times a day with the hopes of seeing yet another splendid view of Trenton past, like this one, before my time. With each view, I always look for my parents who just might be in one of them. Please keep them coming Tom.

I too keep my eyes open for a shot of someone I might know -- esp. on West State St. I am addicted to the site, Tom, and check it at least five times a day in hopes of seeing scenes of the Trenton I remember. I loved the mention of the Water Power and shaky bridge. Thanks for the memories, Tom.
