I worked in an auto repair that was once the Richfield Gas in 1973. Hi-Way Liquor survived but those factories that loomed in the background were not there in the 1950's when I was a kid.
Behind you to the right would have been the Barrett Paving piles behind Fritz"s Diner with Uncle Sam's Diner just a few blocks away. Reminders that that was once part of the main highway between Philly and NY City. Even the sign posts lead you to Camden and Atlantic City.

1939: PRINCETON AVENUE AND MILLER ST. - CALHOUN STREET
