1949: TRENTON'S PUBLIC REST ROOMS

This photo is somewhat deceiving. It is a cut and past of a full view of South Montgomery Street from Front Street. This public building is quite familiar to those of us who were around during the first half of the 20th century.

I was born in 1948 but still remember the restroom and being a "wee" bit upset on not having a place to go after it was demolished shortly after. You had to be quite careful as a tyke back then using that one or the one in the park. Very dank and dreary places if I remember correctly.
