1933: FIRESTONE STORE W. HANOVER AND WILLOW ST.

This is still another remnant of the "Great Depression" years when merchants were desperately seeking additional business from a generally financially destitute public. The Firestone facility is very familiar to our older generation.

    HI TOM...IT SEEMS IRECALL FIRESTONE AS BEING DISTRIBUTERS FOR MANY PRODUCTS. I BELIEVE PHILCO WAS JUST ONE OF THEM. IN THOSE DAYS YOU HAD MANY PEOPLE GETTING A CUT BEFORE A SALE. TODAY YOU HAVE MANY DIRECT BUYS FROM THE MANUFACTURES THAT SAVES YOU MONEY. REGARDS
