I would love to have met Rabbi Jacobs. It was men like him who saw the Christian and Jewish religions as really in concert. As you read the Rabbi's message, think about all the atrocities which were committed over the centuries by those who could not accept the idea that there is a Diety there, whether he be God the Father, Jesus, Allah, Budda, or whomever. We won't know until that day arrives when the truth is revealed.

Having been baptized at Holy Cross, and made my Communion and Confirmation at "Our" Sacred Heart Church, and growing up in "Jewtown" as the Shabass Goy, I can honestly say there has always been a link, between Judism and christianity throughout my life.
The Rabbi's words were the same I hear in my neigbohood as a kid, co celebrating with my Jewish friends all of thier holidays, which coincided with ours in many, many ways.
Truly significant, particularly in these times when the Judo-Christian America is being overrun by people who don't believe in much at all.
