1945: SWITLIK PARACHUTE COMPANY CELEBRATES 25 YEARS

Stanley Switlik: He was a remarkable man. From very modest roots, Mr. Switlik, like my Dad and many other European immigrants, came over on steerage from his native Poland. In my humble estimation Stanley Switlik was directly responsible for saving literally thousands with the parachute. He should be installed in the all time hall of fame and one of America's greatest persons.
