1930' TO THE 1950'S: REMEMBERING THE "HELL DRIVERS"

Every time I read about Lucky Teter or his successor in this area, Joey Chitwood, I am reminded of Lucky Lucy and her lady Hell Drivers, They were a class act. Imagine a group of drop dead gorgeous ladies behind the wheel, or on the hood of a 1951 Henry J car as it crashes through a wall of fire. Imagine a head on collision with a wall of ice! For those of us who hung around Rocky DiNatale's auto shop over on Atkins Avenue, Lucy and her girls were every bit as pretty as movie stars.
