1848: THE PORK TRADE AT SAND HILLS

YOne of the rewards of seeking out little known historical facts about my native Hamilton Township is finding little known historical facts about my native Hamilton Township! These delightful and insightful retrospectives have been hidden in deep obscurity for more than a century. Such is the case in the above two articles telling of the early days of Sand Hills, known today as Yardville. The depot at Sand Hills played a very important part of commerce back in the early to mid 1800's as the shipping point north and south via the Camden and Amboy Railroad.

My apologies for the black and white graphics which
and are a bit more
difficult to read.
