1916: LAIRD'S PHARMACY CHAMBERSBURG

When you have been collecting local memorabilia for as long as I have, you find there are things you really forgot about in all those mounds of books, papers, letters and magazines. Such is the case with the invoice to the Hamilton Township Board of Education from an old pharmacy which went the way of the Passenger Pigeon who knows how many years ago. This piece of local history was destined to be recycled, but thanks to a fellow history person, I gathered it up along with many other interesting bits of local history which is being brought from the dark distance past to the Hamilton Library's "CHAMBERSBURG" folder and a this blog.

  1. Hi Tom:)

Once upon a time this was also Kremper's Pharmacy
and in my Burg day was DeMores Hobby Shop:)

    This building was always distinct
to me by the Blue-Green around
    the windows:)

  2. Hi Tom: Is this the corner where Leigh-Frizzel's men store was located? I'm sure that's not spelled correctly, but that was a very popular store and it seems like it was across the street from the Bijoe.
