1974: THE HAMILTON MALL THAT NEVER WAS

According to Maury Perilli, the Mall referred to in the graphic above never got off the ground. I was commuting daily to New Brunswick and completely out of the mix. I had heard that the area of the Morton Tract was to have been the location of the new municipal complex, but assume that the financial situation put the damper on the project, and then along came the Route 130 Hamilton Marketplace development.

isn't that funny - this article is much older than i am, so i had no knowledge of the planned development, but i always thought that the two estates boulevards were supposed to be linked somehow!
