Tom: Where they long donut like filled with white cream? In North Trenton, we called them finger cakes and Service Bakery on Heil Ave and Brunswick made some great ones. Miss that stuff.
You got it, Joe. I remember Heil's Bakery; as I recall it was in the area of Bob Biddle's car rental company. Yes, Heil's and Paramount both had "Creamsticks," but no baker ever seemed to be able to duplicate the Prior's recipe. At least that was according to my taste. The only place where the closest Prior Creamstick is available today is at Eet Gud. They still have them today.
