I seldom missed an episode of that Superman television program back in the 1950's. I can still see the opening image of Superman standing full screen with his cape blowing in wind; the "wind" obviously coming from an electric fan positioned off screen. George Reeves' story is a sad story. Apparently no Hollywood nor New York movie and TV producer would let him shed the Superman image. He was apparently stigmatized as the Clark Kent-Superman character.

1959: SUPERMAN DIES BUT NOT FROM KRYPTON
I seldom missed an episode of that Superman television program back in the 1950's.
