This old un-dated article from an unknown source provides a fascinating retrospective look back by an old timer who lived in Chambersburg when the area was corn fields and apple orchards. It is very difficult to imagine "the Burg" without all those streets and alleys which has resulted in a jigsaw puzzle as one looks at the Chambersburg of today on a street map.
