1914:EWING'S LANNING SCHOOL

The building is still there, but ths school "ain't!" This interesting mini-history of the genesis of one of Ewing Townships (and Hopewell-Pennington) legendary grammar school is told above. I worked in Ewing from 1952 through the early 1960's and was the only Hamilton Township resident employed. All of my fellow workers were Ewing natives, all alumni from the Lanning School. The architectural treasure is still on Pennington Road at Green's Curve, but no longer serves as a Ewing Township public school
