1936: Father Coughlin, Renegade Catholic Priest

Not many folks know the story of Father Coughlin. He was a thorn in the side of the Franklin Roosevelt administration back in the 1930's. From his Michigan church he broadcast a weekly program which was vehemently against President Roosevelt's "New Deal," and most of the administrations conduct of foreign affairs. He was ultimately silenced by the church heirarchy.
