1982: MCGALLIARD SCHOOL'S EARLY COMPUTERS

I AM ABSOLUTELY FASCINATED WHEN I SEE PHOTOS OF OUR VERY EARLY ENTRY INTO THE WORLD OF PERSONAL COMPUTERS. I REMEMBER SEEING THAT COMPUTER, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT REMEMBER WHAT BRAND IT WAS. PERHAPS AN OLD TIMER IN THE COMPUTER.
THANKs To Candy Jens for identifying the computer in the photo:

The computer is a Commodore PET (Personal Electronic Transactor). It had a monochrome screen, 40-characters wide, and had a tape recorder to input and save programs. This model has a floppy disc drive on the left (big improvement!). I still have one in a closet - it was functional when I retired it many years ago.
