WTTM went on the air in Trenton smack dab in the early years of World War II. They were a godsend during the unsettling era when we were "jittery"with talk of blackouts, espionage and fifth columnists. The great old local station for reasons unknown pulled out of Trenton and relinquished the classy call sign which was quite easy to remember. WTTM joined WTNJ and WOAX in folding up and either moving or giving up the broadcasting business. Good old WBUD remains a local broadcasting legend. Do you remember when they started back in 1946, broadcasting from Pryor's Drug Store on the corner of Bridge Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisville? Do you remember Bus Saidt broadcasting the Trenton Giants Interstate Leage baseball games, sponsored by "Stan Coney, Re-built Engines?" If you do, you have silver in your hair!
