1934: The Horse-Drawn Milk Wagon

Mr. Bennet was our milkman. I do recall when that rubber-tired milk wagon was delivering milk to our home at 131 Hartley Avenue back in the 1930's. Can you imagine getting up at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning on a cold, windy, and snowy winter morning and delivering milk door to door? On some of the colder mornings, the milk outside our front door froze, popped the cardboard cap, and we picked up what looked like a frozen popsickle!
