I find it incredibly interesting to read articles published more than 100 years ago which relate to those places which exist today. Like the preceeding post on this site, this article is gives an interesting insight into the prison system of the 19th century.
The Trenton State Prison's location spanned the block from Cass Street to the South, Second Street to the West, Federal Street to the North and the old Railroad Tracks to the East. Third Street ran between the prison compound and the prison work/maintenance area that was just west of the old train tracks.
