1904: Long Before there were "SUV's"


The "Automobilia" file in the Hamilton Library's Local History Collection is literally overflowing. From the earliest years of the auto, right up to the mid 40's, interesting articles on the Mercer, the Sharp Arrow, Howard, and other auto lore are faithfully preserved. The 1904 extract to the left is from the early years of the "horseless carriage," when the dependibility, stability, and practicality of this mode of transportation were being questioned.
