1923: A CLOSEUP VIEW OF STATE AT BROAD STREET

This is a closeup view of the city of Trenton that was taken long before most of today's generation were alive. I was particularly intrigued with Mr. Sultanof's pickup truck and the view into the interior of that old car behind it. The clarity on the R.C. Maxwell photos, like most of them is superb.

Mr. Sultanof had a great truck to protect renovated furniture from the elements, didn't he?

His place of business and home was located at 328 S. Broad Street, just across from Sacred Heart Church. The building hasn't been razed yet.

Thanks very much for that very interesting post, Bill. I didn't know that his location was in that row across from Sacred Heart Church. Now that we have lost one of our senior "old timers" when Ralph Lucarella went up to meet the Lord, you and all my fellow "old timers" are going to be very important to the historic integrity of this website. Thanks again.
