1916: (Ca. 1916) THE TERMINAL HOTEL

Here's a rare photo of a little known hotel among the many that proliferated in the city of Trenton during the last century. Note the Reading Terminal building on the right.

This building housing the hotel was ultimately demolished for the expansion of the Armour Packing Co. which you see is located next door. It took place some time in the late 30's, early 40's and had a buff colored brick building with loading docks errected in it's place. Armour, Swift, and other meat purveyors were located in close proximity to the Reading Terminal which brought beef in from the Mid west on Refrigerated cars. The building is situated at the Corner of Tucker St, where many wholesale distributors were located, and for whom I toiled as a young man were located in Trenton's Heyday!
