1969: AND THEN ALONG CAME QUAKER BRIDGE MALL

Lawrenceville's little strip mall along Route 1 was a popular place with Dunham's a super market and as seen in the photo above. F.W. Donnelly decided to place a retail outlet there. Along came the huge and cumbersome Quaker Bridge Mal on busy Route 1l, and overshadowed the little shopping center.

Ironic that you should post this.

It comes just when Hamilton Jewelers who shared this site is going out of business at this location after 40 years this week.

Boy do I still miss Dunham's!! I was fortunate enough to work there one Christmas Season (Independence Mall) and I loved it! I was able to buy my daughter a genuine Raggedy Anne doll that she wanted (I still have it). Many happy days spent shopping in Dunham's, both as a child with my Grandmom & as a young adult.
