1946: DO YOU REMEMBER THESE?

This is like a re-run of the scenes of my childhood and young adult years. Jonclars was a lively upscale gathering place back in the 1940's as was Jack and Bob's. Clio? It was on Route 33 in the area of today's Cedar Gardens, and by the time I was driving in 1952, Cedar Gardens and Betty & Bill's drive in was on the spot.

Certainly does bring back memories.
Jack and Bob's became "Murphy's Chuck Wagon, owned by the Vegotsky family, Club Clio morphed into Agabiti's Cedar Garden. Jon Clares I remember as having those glass block windows, and a somewhat modern facade.
Enjoyed a taste in all of them, back when if you could reach the bar they would serve you.

Happy and Joyous Easter to all

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL....MY BROTHER AND I CONSIDERED BUILDING THE HAMILTON BOWLING LANES NEXT TO CEDAR GARDENS BUT COULD'NT GET CONTI TO COOPERATE. FRANK AGABITI, BEING A GREAT BOWLER, WAS DISSAPOINTED WITH THAT. WE FINALLY BUILT ACCROSS FROM TONY CAL'S IN 1955 AND MADE THE PETTITO BROTHERS VERY HAPPY. THOSE WERE THE DAYS, BEST REGARDS.
