1937 AND 1930: "LOCAL HISTORY WITH A PERSONAL TOUCH:" EASTER, 1937

Here's a clip which is in keeping with my goal of making this website not only local history, but local history with a personal touch. The scenes in the left photos are from Easter Sunday, 1937 and will be repeated by many Christians tomorrow as once again we rejoice in Jesus' rise from the tomb. On the right are a number of ads from the local Trenton Times relating to the season.

SAME TO YOU, RALPH. IT MAKES ME VERY HAPPY TO KNOW YOU GET EXTRA ENERGY FROM MAKING OUR JOURNEYS TO OUR YOUNG YEARS. ONE OF THE GOD GIVEN GIFTS TO US OLD TIMERS IS THE GIFT OF MEMORIES. I INTEND TO KEEP POSTING AND REMEMBERING UNTIL I AM NO LONGER PHYSICALLY ABLE.

HAPPY EASTER!

Tom:
There always seems to be a connection with my youth when you publish these wonderful vignettes from "Memory Lane".
I'll bet you will be surprised to learn that one of the photos herein of Alice Callery brings us back to Sacred Heart Church.
Alice was a long time parishoner at Sacred Heart, and was Parish Secretary under your buddy Msgr. Toomey.
A blessed, and Joyous Easter to you and yours.

Hi Tom: My father, Russell Logan, always took me to the Egg Hunt at Cadwalader Park. They would let the little ones in first through the entrance off Parkside Avenue. Then the bigger kids would be let lose and the real fun began. Thanks so much for keeping my childhood memories alive. Regards
